Social Worker – Mid Cornwall
£25.38 per hour | Full Time | 3-Month Contract
37 hours/week (Mon–Fri)
We’re recruiting on behalf of our client for a skilled Social Worker to join the Adult Social Care team in Mid Cornwall. This is a 3-month contract ideal for a confident practitioner looking to make an impact through high-quality, person-centred assessments and intervention.
About the Role:
Working under the direction of the Team Manager/Principal Social Worker, the successful candidate will:
Complete timely and effective needs assessments in line with the Care Act
Respond to safeguarding concerns and carry out mental capacity assessments
Deliver outcome-focused care planning, intervention and reviews
Promote independence and wellbeing through reablement and partnership working
Collaborate with individuals, carers, families, and multi-agency colleagues
Contribute to team learning and development, adhering to the Professional Capabilities Framework (PCF)
Requirements:
Qualified Social Worker with current SWE registration
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in adult social care
Skilled in managing complex caseloads and navigating risk
Strong understanding of relevant legislation, safeguarding procedures, and community services
Confident in multidisciplinary environments and able to deliver difficult messages sensitively
Full travel mobility required
