Male Support Worker - Kinson (BH11)

Part-Time Position (15 hours per week)

£12.85 per hour

Dimensions are seeking a Male Support Worker to enable the independence of a gentleman we support in his home in the Kinson area of Bournemouth by assisting him in his day-to-day life. He is looking for someone who is chatty, outgoing and determined in nature.

The gentleman we support is in his 40's and has autism and a learning disability, experience of supporting individuals that can exhibit behaviours of distress would advantageous. This gentleman likes his routines and would enjoy meeting Male Support Workers who are happy to get involved with activities including:

- Going for a walk in the local community

- Watching loads of TV, 80's shows such as TJ Hooker and Knightrider are favourites

- Taking him to the supermarket

- Occasional drives (once he gets to know you)

- Encouraging him to complete all his household tasks

Male Support Workers may also have to assist with finances, meal preparation and prompt the gentleman to attend to his personal care.

Shifts for this role are 07.00-14.30/14.30-22.00, we would need Male Support Workers to be able to work a minimum of 1 sleep in shift per week. We are pleased to offer a payrate of £12.85 (sleep in shifts are paid at an allowance of £50 per shift).

Dimensions provide full training to all Male Support Workers.
