Care and Support - Inglewood Care Home

Contract: Full Time Salary: £12.81-£13.13 Per Hour Shift Type: Dayshift Contracted hours: 34.5

Inglewood Nursing Home, located in a pleasant residential area of Eastbourne, provides short and long-term nursing and palliative care for up to 60 residents. Set in charming period-style accommodation with modern facilities, the home offers bright, comfortable rooms with garden views, wheelchair access, and a warm, supportive environment where personalised care and strong relationships with residents and families are prioritised.

Role: Care Assistant
Location: Inglewood Nursing Home, 7-9 Nevill Avenue, Eastbourne, BN22 9PR
Salary: £12.81-£13.13 per hour
Hours: 34.5 weekly hours, working on a rota including weekends and public holidays

In this rewarding role, you’ll work individually and as part of a supportive team to deliver the highest standards of care and companionship to our residents.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Checking on residents throughout the day and night to ensure their wellbeing and comfort
  • Providing personal care with kindness and respect, supporting residents with daily activities while encouraging their independence
  • Helping residents maintain their dignity and self-esteem through patient, compassionate care
  • Contributing to care plans by working alongside residents and their families or representatives
  • Supporting residents to take part in wellbeing and social activities both inside and outside the home
  • Building positive, trusting relationships with residents, families, and your team

What you’ll bring:

  • A professional, reliable, and flexible approach to your work
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A respectful, courteous, patient, and compassionate manner at all times
  • Ideally, a Level 2 or 3 qualification in Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards it)
  • The ability to work well independently and as part of a team
