8 hours a week; 10am to 12pm on a Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and a Sunday.

Additional hours may be available as and when required.

About the employer

The employer is a lady living in home in Brigstock, Kettering. She is partially sighted following a stroke, has CFS and other health conditions.

Main Duties
• To support and accompany the Employer out and about.
• You need the use of a reliable car, that has space in the boot to carry the Employer’s mobility aid. You will also need to be able to lift the four individual scooter parts in and out of your vehicle (it clicks to reassemble, no tools required)
• You need to have a full driving licence and the relevant business cover on your motor insurance policy.
• If not going out, support in the home may be required.
• A calm, understanding nature is essential, as is the ability to ensure the Employer is safe. Good organisational skills are an advantage.
• There is no personal contact in this role, however your physical and visual support will be required.
• To promote wellbeing, choice and independence.
• Any other task which the employer may reasonably ask you to do which falls within the scope of the role as a Personal Support Worker.

Additional employment information

The successful applicant will be observant and able to give support, while respecting the employer’s choices and able to take instruction.

Being flexible and trustworthy is important.

The Employer is vulnerable to infection, and PPE may be required (provided by Employer).

All employees must not attend work if ill, due to the Employer’s poor immunity.

Please note you will be directly employed by the person (or their representative) that you will be assisting. The Council is not the employer.
