Why am I looking for a care assistant?
To build up a caring connection with me around a weekly contact point as well as for additional ad-hoc occasions and care support needs.
These might take the form of eg;
Picking up prescriptions if I am ill
Driving to/attending medical appointments (future op needs will include wheelchair walks etc)
Driving me to some social events & waiting with me an hour usually.

What would the role look like?
Weekly meet ups together to build up a good friendly team bond together; these would be mainly social / chat type (up to 2 hours)
Ad-hoc hours to support medical appointments or unfortunate hiccups etc (Premium paid for flexibility)
Potential for occasional overnight stays / support

What are the qualities I would prioritise in a care assistant?
1. Empathy - Responsive / tuned in
2. Ad-hoc 24 hour / emergency rate willing
3. Understand how anxiety naturally builds during extreme stress or pain (& use supportive techniques to see it through)
4. Step into decisions with me
plus:
kind, calm, softer nature
Perceptive, sensitive insight
Pragmatic
Mature outlook
A good sense of humour sometimes helps in some situations too
Flexible to changing needs
(Would be a huge advantage if you also wished to have accommodation in a country setting one day in the near future still performing role of P.A for me)

How would I describe myself?
Empathic, caring lady with a passion for animals-linked with a dream of a possible move to a more countryside environment with accommodation for a P.A.

What else does the role need?
Be kind and comfortable around a small nervous "no touch" medical assistance dog who can occasionally be wary of you (& therefore slightly 'protective' of me) until She knows you.
