Job title: Personal Assistant (PA)

Reporting to: The Employer

Location: Wednesfield, Wolverhampton WV11

About the employer:
This position is to support a female in her 30’s living with complex mental health needs. The employer has interests in crafting, animals, and the outdoors. She is very motivated to be supported and to work with a female support worker to become more independent.
This position is for 10hrs a week, the employer holds a 20 hour a week budget but wishes to split this across two PA’s. Times and days to be arranged but some evening and weekend work will be required.

Main duties:

Social duties:
• Accompanying to visiting friends
• Attending social events such as craft shows, local community events, cinema. etc
• Online social events (client may need support before or after these events)
• Medical appointments (this could involve support before, during and after the appointments)
• Fitness (employer would like a candidate who can attend aquafit and swimming with them as well as being able to walk 5km at a steady pace)
• Nature (candidate much be comfortable with animals to attend animal sanctuaries; the employer lives with a long-haired cat, so this position is not suitable for candidates with cat allergies)
• Support groups and courses. Employer attends numerous groups and courses and needs candidate who is non-judgmental and can respect the privacy of employer and other group members.


Personal care:
• Prompting with personal care.
• Support to create and prompting to maintain a routine.
• Prompting around daily tasks.

• Domestic duties:
• Light domestic work (candidate will need to be physically able to carry out day to day domestic tasks such as taking out the rubbish, hoovering, dusting. etc to support the employer appropriately)
• Shopping and Meal Planning
• Food Preparation

Hours of work: 20 hours per week – option of Job share

Rate of pay: £13.50 per hour.
