Care and Support - Ashridge Court Care Centre

Contract: Full Time , Part- Time, Bank Salary: £12.81 - £13.13 Per Hour Shift Type: Nights Contracted hours: 23 or 34.5

Ashridge Court Care Centre is a bright, modern care home near Bexhill-on-Sea, set in the East Sussex countryside with sea views and peaceful gardens. The home provides high-quality general nursing care for up to 51 residents in spacious, well-furnished rooms, with compassionate support delivered with dignity, empathy and respect.

At Ashridge Court Care Centre, we believe every moment of care matters. As a Care Assistant, you’ll provide compassionate, person-centred support to our residents, helping them live with dignity, independence, and joy.

Role: Care Assistant
Location: Ashridge Court Care Centre, 163 Barnhorn Road, Bexhill-On-Sea
Salary: £12.81 - £13.13
Hours: Part-Time (23 hours) or Full-Time (34.5 hours) per week, working on a rota including weekends and public holidays

In this rewarding role, you’ll work individually and as part of a supportive team to deliver the highest standards of care and companionship to our residents.

Due to the personal care needs of our clients, this post is only open to female applicants. This is a genuine occupational requirement in accordance with Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Checking on residents throughout the day and night to ensure their wellbeing and comfort
  • Providing personal care with kindness and respect, supporting residents with daily activities while encouraging their independence
  • Helping residents maintain their dignity and self-esteem through patient, compassionate care
  • Contributing to care plans by working alongside residents and their families or representatives
  • Supporting residents to take part in wellbeing and social activities both inside and outside the home
  • Building positive, trusting relationships with residents, families, and your team

What you’ll bring:

  • A professional, reliable, and flexible approach to your work
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A respectful, courteous, patient, and compassionate manner at all times
  • Ideally, a Level 2 or 3 qualification in Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards it)
  • The ability to work well independently and as part of a team
