Female Support Worker

£13.54 per hour (£60 per sleep in shift)

Part-time (Up to 32 hours per week)

Newcastle, NE6 (15 min Walk from St. Anthony's Park)

Who will I be supporting?

***Caroline***, a young lady in her mid 20's who joined Dimensions in her own supported living bungalow in 2023, is looking for an experienced female support worker to help her achieve her goals, encourage and support her in developing her independence.

**Caroline** has autism and is very much into structure and routine in her daily life, she thoroughly enjoys watching films, TV series, such as masked singer!

She enjoys arts and crafts at home as well as buying all different kinds of stationary! She loves getting her nails done and looking through examples of nail art to help her decide what design she would like. She also enjoys eating out and visiting attractions within the North East

**Caroline** is very close to her family and maintaining this relationship is very important to her and she likes to spend regular time with them.

Friendly, patient and reliable support workers who take an active interest in their hobbies and activities would be wonderful matches.

What will I be doing?

You will be supporting **Caroline** to engage in the community and home based activities, as well as supporting her to learn life skills and elements on independence within the home.

Support will include prompting of personal care and provide support if required, medication administration, budgeting, cooking, cleaning, and laundry.

**Caroline** can experience behaviours of distress, this can be through verbal and physical aggression, so previous experience supporting people with autism and complex behaviours is essential.

What shifts are available?

Day Shifts: 9am - 6pm
Long Day Sleep: 9am - 9am the following day (Includes £60 Sleep-In Shift)
Sleep In Shifts: 10pm - 8am
Rotas are provided at least 4 weeks in advance to allow a healthy work life balance- something we're really passionate about!
