Positions:

Typical shift timings:
• 08:00–14:00
• 14:00–20:00
• 20:00–07:00 (sleep-in)
Salary:
• Starting salary is paid at £12.21 per hour during the initial probation, rising with experience.
• All sleep-in hours are paid at your full hourly rate

Join our supportive, caring, dedicated team who provide daily living support to two adult brothers aged 29 and 31 to live independently in their own home. Both young men are extremely friendly, loving, witty, and a pleasure to support.
Both brothers are neurodivergent with a formal diagnosis of autism and associated learning and language deficits. The brothers receive 1;1 support between the hours of 08.00-20.00 to allow them to pursue their individual activities. During this time 2 members of staff are rostered on shift. The hours between 20.00-07.00 are delivered on a 2:1 basis.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide one-to-one support with personal care: washing, dressing, grooming
• Prompt and support medication administration per individual care plans
• Perform every day domestic duties: such as laundry, housework, meal prep.
• Coach independent-living skills—budgeting, menu planning, community access
• Build rapport by respecting routines, preferences, and sense of humour
• Maintain clear, accurate records of observations, incidents, and handovers
• Collaborate with families, external professionals, and colleagues on support plans

Person Specification
Personal attributes – applicants must meet the following criteria:
• Good communication skills

• Good IT skills
• Must have a clean UK driving licence (A car is provided for use during shifts)
• Good attention to detail
• Good forward planning skills
• Be focused

• High desire to deliver high quality support
Essential Skills & Qualifications
• NVQ Level 2 (or working towards) in Health & Social Care, or equivalent, or a willingness to work towards your NVQ.
• Basic IT literacy for electronic record keeping.
• Full UK right to work; willingness to undergo DBS, first aid, and safeguarding training and any additional training as required.
• Experience beneficial but not required—full role-specific training provided
