Team of 2 Female Personal Care Assistants/Support Workers required (non-smoking) to assist an elderly couple, for 35 hours per week. Working pattern three days one week and four days the next, with alternate weekends off – 10 hours per day: 8am to 1pm and 5pm to 10pm

The couple both have mobility difficulties, and one has dementia but both living in their own home, in the Rutherglen area.

You would be required to provide care and assistance within their home including attending to personal care and participation in social activities. Your duties would involve assisting with tasks such as:

· Attending to all personal care needs (showering, toileting including bowel movements, shaving)
· Assisting with medication
· Preparing healthy meals and snacks
· Daily Walk
· Household shopping and collecting prescriptions
· Light housework and laundry
· Any other daily living tasks to promote independent living

Must take a caring, proactive and innovative approach to support and encourage both to be involved in activities suited to their needs.

Favourite activities are watching TV, playing simple games, completing simple jigsaws and word searches, visiting coffee shops, shopping and socialising.

Experience is desirable but not essential as training will be provided. The most important qualities are a warm and friendly nature and a desire to work within a caring role.

Good interpersonal and communication skills are essential.

Hours of Work (with a degree of flexibility)

Recruiting for a team of 2 people.

Guaranteed permanent positions working within the hours of 8am to 10pm as described above.

Hourly rate:
£13.00 per hour
