Job Title: Support Worker
Location: Colchester, Essex
Hours: Part Time & Full Time (flexible)

Forest Homecare is recruiting Support Workers to join our Colchester team. No experience is necessary as full paid training is provided. As a Support Worker, you will need to have a professional, caring, and flexible approach.

Role Responsibilities:
The role of Support Worker will involve supporting individuals with a wide range of activities including access to vocational, educational and social activities.
Supporting with home related tasks as well as general day to day activities as required by the service user in order to meet their desired outcomes and needs, such as assistance with budgeting, support in making and attending appointments, and support in preparing and cooking meals.
Providing emotional support
In addition to this, some of the individuals that we support may require assistance and prompting with aspects of their personal care.
Visits can range from 30 minutes to several hours depending on Clients’ needs and requirements. In addition to this, some of the people we support require sleep in duties overnight.

We can offer you full or part-time hours including every other weekend or one day every weekend

Experience:
This role is varied, and every day is different, so being adaptable, and using your common sense and initiative are a ‘must’ for this role. You do not need to have worked as a Support Worker before applying to us, but all experience in this field will help. As well, those who have worked in any hospitality, customer service, or retail sector, as many transferrable skills can be utilized in this field.

Therefore, experience is not essential, just a willingness to learn and implement all necessary skills for the safety and well-being of the clients.
