We are looking for highly motivated and reliable individuals to support adults with learning disabilities.
To support a male individual with Autism and ADHD to live independently in his own home, in Woodhallspa.
The post will involve a wide range of daily tasks - meal preparation, cleaning, laundry, monitoring health conditions, emotional support, shopping, keeping accurate records, support to attend appointments and anything else which arises.
You must be patient and have the ability to remain calm in stressful situations, a good sense of humour and a high level of compassion and empathy along with the desire to help. You must also be able to follow instruction, work well with others and have excellent communication skills at all levels.
No personal care or administering of medication involved.
Experience preferred but not essential.
Enhanced DBS required, if not already registered on the update service, cost to be met by employer. You will also require two satisfactory references.
