Youth Support Worker

Wokingham, Berkshire

£14.25 – £15.00 per hour

Full and part time shifts, including evenings and weekends

Completely Care Ltd are recruiting for agency support workers to help make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable young adults?

An independent supported living service provides accommodation and support to young adults who are developing their independence. As a Support Worker, you’ll offer a safe, stable, and nurturing environment where young people feel heard, supported, and respected. You’ll be there to guide them through everyday life – whether that’s cooking dinner, handling a challenge calmly, or simply being a reliable presence.

Duties:

Build positive, trusting relationships with young residents
Support of the residents with daily living skills, including cooking, cleaning, budgeting, and personal care
Maintain clear and accurate records of observations, incidents, and support provided
Work independently during lone shifts while remaining connected to a wider team
Respond calmly and appropriately to distress or challenging behaviour
Uphold safeguarding policies and follow protocols to maintain a safe environment
Carry out basic property checks and ensure the home is safe and welcoming
Your experience:

Experience working with people in residential care, supported living, youth work, or similar
Emotionally resilient and calm under pressure
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Confident working alone and managing responsibilities
A clear understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries
Practical knowledge of home safety and routines (training provided)
Willingness to work flexibly – including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins
A clear enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
