Job Title: Safeguarding & DOLS Support Worker
Salary: £29,253 - 32,736 (pro-rata if part time)
Grade: C
Contract Type: Fixed Term 12 months
Working Hours: 37 hours per week
The Safeguarding & DOLS Support Worker will be a member of Thurrock Council's Safeguarding & Legal Intervention Team. They will provide high level administrative support to ensure that the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DOLS) service runs efficiently to meet statutory obligations and legal requirements, as well as supporting the Adult Safeguarding Team.
As a Safeguarding & DOLS Support Worker, you will be responsible for:
- Supporting the DOLS Coordinator & Deputy Manager with the day to day running of the service
- Ensuring allocation processes are following in line with timescales
- Be one of the first points of contact for the Safeguarding & Legal Intervention team
- Overseeing all DOL referrals in line with process to ensure that Adults systems & waiting lists are updated accurately
- Use a wide variety of Microsoft applications including Word & PowerPoint
