SOCIAL WORKER – ALDER HOUSE, INVERNESS


BAND 6 (Salary £41,608 - £50,702)


Highland Health and Social Care Services help people from all walks of life, as well as their families or carers. Health and Social Care in Highland provides help and assistance in many situations arising due to illness, disability, old age, or poverty.


This is an exciting opportunity to work in a busy Inverness Social Work Team with enthusiastic, friendly, and dynamic staff who work alongside AHP's and Nurses in an Integrated Team.


This post is responsible for providing Social Work services to people requiring community care services and their carers. This includes developing, implementing, and assessing Care Plans in consultation with families and multi-disciplinary agencies. The successful candidate must be able to work as part of an integrated team to ensure timely implementation of care plans, carry out reviews, and undertake any statutory duties under Adult Support and Protection or Adults with Incapacity legislation to safeguard vulnerable people. Furthermore, the successful candidate will have an active caseload and undertake Duty as required to support the team.


Applicants should be registered with the Scottish Social Services Council on the ‘Social Worker’ part of the Register and hold a qualification that is recognised by the SSSC as being equivalent to the Diploma in Social Work (DipSW).


A driving licence is essential for this post and applicants should have access to their own vehicle for work purposes.


This is a permanent full-time post of 37 hours working in line with service requirements.
