- Support Worker - Ormesby, Norfolk

- £12.31 per hour

- Full Time, Part Time & Relief roles available

Join one of the UK's Best Workplaces, a not-for-profit organisation that's proudly supporting people with learning disabilities and autism to live life on their terms.

About the Role

We're looking for Support Workers to join our team in Ormesby, where three brilliant gentlemen in their 50s and 60s share a welcoming home. Each person we support has complex health needs, including PEG and stoma care, so confidence with personal care, moving and assisting (including hoists), and PEG feeding is essential.

You'll work 1:1, but never alone, there are always three team members on shift, ensuring consistent, high-quality support. The gentlemen love getting out and about, whether it's scenic drives through Norfolk, music and sensory sessions or weekly boat rides on the Broads.

We'll provide all the training you need including your Care Certificate and opportunities for further qualifications. Whether you're experienced or just starting out, if you share our values of respect, partnership, courage, ambition, and integrity, we'll help you succeed.

Shift Pattern

Shifts vary depending on the needs of the people we support and typically include:

- 7am-10pm

- 7am-2:30pm

- 2:30pm-10pm

While we have a dedicated waking night team, occasional night cover may be needed during annual leave or sickness. Permanent staff are expected to do 1-2 sleep-ins per week and work alternate weekends.

Your rewards

- 30 days annual leave entitlement, pro-rata, (including bank holidays), rising to a maximum of 35 days.

- Pension scheme, including a money purchase scheme with employee and employer contribution.

- Discounts and cashback on the high street and online shopping through Rewarding Dimensions.

- Free access to the Employee Assistance Programme with a 24/7 helpline for advice and support, also available to partners and immediate family.

- Recognition and financial bonus every five years through our Long Service Awards.

- Opportunity to purchase Simply Health, a discounted health and dental cover scheme.

- Death in service payment for a nominated beneficiary under Life Assurance.

- £200 recommend a friend scheme.

- 50% contribution to the cost of learning to drive, subject to meeting operational and staffing criteria. T&C apply.
