Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm (37 hours/week)
Pay: £16.62 PAYE / £21.60 Umbrella
Cardiff Council is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Work Assistant to join the People & Communities Directorate at Llandough Hospital. This is a fantastic opportunity to support older adults with mental health needs in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist qualified social workers in delivering care and support plans
Engage with service users, families, and professionals to promote wellbeing
Maintain accurate records and contribute to assessments and reviews
Support safeguarding procedures and uphold professional standards
Requirements:
Previous experience in social care or support work (unqualified roles welcome)
Strong communication and organisational skills
Ability to work collaboratively and independently
Immediate availability preferred
