We are looking for a highly motivated ‘can do‘ individual to join our Virtual Ward Team.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to help with the expansion of the virtual wards across Walsall. You will be responsible for assisting the practitioner in charge of the shift with the management of patients receiving care on the virtual ward. You will need to be competent in the use of computer systems and have experience in the delivery of high-quality patient centered care in the acute setting or the patients own home. You will need to be able to work flexibly to meet the demands of the service, working 7 days across a 7 day service that will operate 24/7. You must demonstrate excellent communication skills and have experience of multi-disciplinary/multi agency working.

• Visit patient in the own home to support with care/ clinical treatment they require.
• Report findings acting on team leaders instruction.

Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust is an integrated Trust and the only provider of NHS acute care in Walsall, serving a population of 284,300. It provides inpatient and outpatient services at the Manor Hospital as well as a wide range of services in the community. Walsall Manor houses the full range of district general hospital services under one roof. A new Urgent and Emergency Care Centre, opened in March 2023, has significantly improved emergency care facilities and capacity, providing almost 5,000 square metres of additional clinical space.
