Hours: Various, days and nights, Full/part time (Flexible Monday-Sunday)

Rates of Pay: £13.56 - £15.27 p/h

Work Area / Location: ST19 (Brewood, near Coven & Wolverhampton Staffordshire)

Main Tasks

There are 2 positions available, permanent day support and night support.

We are looking to recruit experienced individuals to provide support to a young lady who has complex needs such as cerebral palsy, autism traits behaviours that are sometimes challenging. Activities for relaxing or swimming in her own heated private pool at home can calm and support her by communicating each step to ensure the employer is ready for swimming, including assisting with changing, personal care, and using towels as needed.

This will include:
• Main Swimming support with Personal Assistant staying nearby for support during swimming or have the option to swim
• assisting the 27 year old young lady in the home and community with the opportunity to assist in her learning environment 1-3 days a week
• providing day care activities such as arts & crafts
• providing personal care.
• emotional support and social tasks
• concerts and holiday opportunities

The young lady has a great passion for music, swimming and is looking for a suitable candidate preferably with the same interests. An interest in horse-riding would be beneficial, but is not essential.


The ideal candidate must:
• hold level 3 care qualification
• have a full valid driving licence
• have at least 3 years’ experience in care, preferably in a supervisory role to support her to live independently as possible and have access to community activities
• be patient, compassionate and able to diffuse stressful situations
• be female as will be providing personal care
• be willing to work flexible shifts, including mornings, nights and weekends
• be able to keep up with her active lifestyle and keep her safe and secure

Special Conditions: (optional)

A Disclosure and Barring Service Check (DBS) and two satisfactory references are conditional for the post. This is a free and confidential process.
