Location: Pan-London (home-based with travel across London from time to time)

Hours: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 9am to 5pm

Salary: £15.50-20 per hour

Contract: 2 month temporary role with potential to extend

About the Role

We are looking for a compassionate, motivated Housing Floating Support Worker to join a Pan-London service supporting women who have experienced violence or abuse. In this vital role, you will provide practical, emotional and housing-related support that enables women to feel safe, sustain their accommodation, and work towards independence.

Working on a mobile basis, you will offer tailored casework, risk assessment, safety planning, and tenancy-sustainment support. You will empower survivors to navigate statutory systems, access their rights, maximise income, and engage with local opportunities that strengthen their wellbeing and financial resilience.

What You'll Do

  • Deliver solution-focused support to women who have experienced violence against women and girls (VAWG)

  • Build trusting, professional relationships with service users

  • Complete and review risk assessments, safety plans and support plans

  • Provide practical help with life skills, tenancy sustainment, and accessing benefits

  • Make referrals for specialist advice, therapeutic support, legal assistance and community resources

  • Maintain accurate case notes and contribute to outcomes monitoring

  • Advocate strongly for service users within multi-agency settings

  • Involve women in shaping and improving the service

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and attend regular supervision

What We're Looking For

  • Experience working with survivors of domestic abuse or other vulnerable client groups

  • Strong understanding of domestic and sexual abuse and its impacts

  • Experience managing risk and working within case management procedures

  • Ability to work effectively within a multi-agency framework

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a non-judgemental, empowering approach

  • Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines

  • Strong administrative and IT skills (including Microsoft Office)

  • Commitment to inclusive, anti-discriminatory practice

  • A reflective, flexible and collaborative working style

Desirable:

  • DAPA, IDVA, ISVA or similar qualification

Why Join the Team?

This is an opportunity to play a meaningful role in a service dedicated to improving the safety, stability and long-term wellbeing of women across London. You'll be part of a supportive team that values innovation, professional development, and shared learning.
