We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support within various medical settings, including clinics, hospitals, and urgent care facilities. This position requires a strong commitment to patient service and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
Assist in providing direct patient care, including monitoring vital signs and performing intake assessments.
Support medical administrative tasks, including managing Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and maintaining accurate patient documentation.
Administer medications as prescribed and assist with basic life support when necessary.
Facilitate communication between patients and healthcare providers to enhance the patient experience.
Prepare patients for examinations or procedures, ensuring their comfort and understanding of the process.
Maintain cleanliness and organization within clinical environments, adhering to safety protocols.
Participate in training sessions and continuous education to stay updated on best practices in patient care.
Skills
Proficient knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
Experience in dermatology, hospital medicine, urgent care, or emergency medicine is highly desirable.
Familiarity with ICD coding and EHR systems for effective patient management.
Ability to perform vital signs checks and assist with medication administration.
Experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings, including Level I and Level II trauma centers.
Knowledge of geriatrics, medical-surgical practices, internal medicine, PICU, OR experience is a plus.
