Kent - Social Care – Requires - Personal Care Assistant Position

Hours: 12 hours per week, no evenings or weekends required, flexibility is essential.
Wage: £13 per hour
Location: Gravesend, Kent
Duration: Permanent, subject to probationary period.
Description: Female personal assistant required for a 40 year old woman living in Gravesend with limited mobility. To assist with a variety of tasks which will enable the individual to live a better quality of life.

All applicants must hold a UK driving license, use of a car and are subject to a DBS check, the cost is covered by the employer.
Duties include meal preparation and cooking, assisting with occasional outings, checking medication has been taken, completing household tasks, and basic personal care needs.

Previous experience within a similar role is desirable although not essential. The applicant must be reliable, trustworthy, friendly, patient and understanding, willing to take the time to learn how to effectively best offer support and encourage independence. As the applicant will be privy to personal medical information, they must also be discreet and work confidentially.

Some common tasks are listed below:

Food preparation and cooking healthy meals
Household tasks such as cleaning, changing bed and washing clothes
Assist with washing hair and dressing
Accompany on social events and getting out into the community

There will be tasks not on this list that are required from time to time as the individual's symptoms fluctuate in severity.

Description
The shifts I need are either 12-4pm or 1-5pm three days a week. Likely to be Monday, Wednesday & Thursday but this needs to be flexible.
Due to a decline in my disabilities, I require support with most day-to-day activities including washing, hair washing, dressing, food prep & cooking, being supported at appointments and socialising.
It’s vital the PA I employ is covid conscious and is willing to take precautions at work including mask wearing and regular covid testing.
