Support Worker - Watford

- Location: Watford, Hertfordshire

- Hours: 12 or 22 per week

- Salary: £12.64 per hour

- Requirements: Full UK driving licence, business insurance & own car

- Shifts: 10am-9pm, 10am-2pm, 6pm-10pm (including alternate weekends)

Do you enjoy trains, coffee, and Disney? Looking for a role where no two days are ever the same? We're seeking a friendly, patient, and proactive Support Worker to assist a gentleman in his 30s to live life on his terms, with independence and confidence.

He's a kind individual with a love for model railways, exploring coffee shops, visiting zoos, theme parks and the theatre, and relaxing with YouTube, Disney, and shows like The Masked Singer. Some days he's excited to get out and explore; on others, he may need a little more time and encouragement. Your patience and calm support will help him navigate those ups and downs, always respecting his choices.

He has a diagnosis of Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA), which means everyday tasks can sometimes feel overwhelming. He may use delay tactics or distractions to avoid them, and that's where your creativity, understanding, and gentle encouragement will make all the difference. You'll be supporting him with personal care, daily routines, meal preparation, household tasks, and planning outings, all while helping him build confidence and independence.

We're looking for someone upbeat, adaptable, and respectful. You'll need to be comfortable supporting someone with anxiety or PDA, and a UK driver with your own car and business insurance is essential.

This is a truly rewarding opportunity to support someone's journey towards independence while building a trusting, supportive relationship. If you're kind, reliable, and passionate about making a difference, we'd love to hear from you.
