Support Worker : Two positions available
Personal Assistant-Accrington / Oswaldtwistle / Blackburn Area


An opportunity has arisen for a Support Worker to provide support to a gentleman living in a rented property, within the local community.
As a Support Worker your duties will include supporting with all aspects of daily life, help with dressing, planning and cooking a variety of healthy, well balanced meals, taking out when required and doing shopping.
Other duties include support to manage paperwork/finances, support to access groups and social activities and help with training, work placements and volunteering opportunities
Personal hygiene and cleanliness around the rented home are very important to this client so domestic duties including washing and ironing will be a key part of the role.
We are looking for a professional and caring individual with a passion for helping others and enabling the client to remain as independent as possible.
Previous experience working in a similar role, a positive attitude and good work ethic is essential; along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Hours of work are 28 h.p.w with an hourly rate of £12.21 plus 5.6 weeks paid annual leave and workplace pension scheme. The hours can be negotiated and shared by the 2 x PAs
This role involves some hours to be worked during evenings, and weekends. Work pattern to be discussed at interview stage.
This position is subject to DBS clearance. A driver with a full clean license and access to own vehicle is desirable.
