Care Practitioner Nights. Manor Park Care Home

Hours: 44 hours per week or 22 hours per week available
Salary: £13.31 per hour
Shift Pattern: 8pm-8am

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Care Practitioners to join our night team at the brand-new Manor Park Care Home, opening in mid-December in the picturesque town of Malton, North Yorkshire.

As a Night Care Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, comfort, and wellbeing of our residents during overnight hours. You’ll provide personal care, respond to needs promptly, and maintain a calm and secure environment while residents rest.

This is a rewarding opportunity to be part of a new team from the very beginning and help create a nurturing and professional care setting.

Key Responsibilities.

Provide high-quality personal care, including assistance with toileting, repositioning, and hygiene needs.
Monitor residents throughout the night, ensuring their safety and wellbeing.
Respond promptly and sensitively to call bells and any changes in residents’ conditions.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date care records and handover notes.
Support residents with nighttime routines and ensure a peaceful environment.
Assist with medication administration (where appropriate and trained).
Carry out regular checks and ensure infection control and health & safety standards are upheld.
Work collaboratively with the night team to ensure continuity of care.
Prepare the home for the following day, including light housekeeping and setting up for morning routines.

What We’re Looking For

Previous experience in a care role is desirable.
A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to overnight care.
Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Flexibility to work night shifts, including alternate weekends.
A commitment to delivering person-centred care and maintaining residents’ dignity.
