Support Worker - RG40 Wokingham

Start 2026 with purpose - Join Us as a Support Worker

Location: RG40, Wokingham (15-minute walk from Wokingham Station)
Pay Rate: £12.35 per hour + £50 per sleep-in
Hours: 30 per week + overtime opportunities
Shift Pattern: 7:00am-7:00am (includes sleep-in) / Sleep-in 9:30pm-7:00am
Driver Requirement: Full UK driving licence (Auto-friendly)

About the role

We're looking for a confident and compassionate Support Worker to work 1:1 with a young gentleman in his 30s with complex learning disabilities and epilepsy (Buccal medication required). He is a wheelchair user and communicates without words, but expresses himself through smiles, gestures, and his warm personality.

You'll be supporting him to enjoy a full and meaningful life, including:

- Swimming

- Listening to music

- Comedy shows and films

- Church on Sundays

- Coffee mornings on Fridays

This is a lone-working role that requires confidence, initiative, and the ability to build a trusting, positive relationship with both him and his family.

About you

We're looking for someone who is:

- Experienced in health and social care, ideally in lone-working environments

- Friendly, outgoing, and able to bring good humour to each day

- Comfortable with personal care and using hoists (full training provided)

- Confident administering medication (including Buccal)

- Organised, reliable, and calm under pressure

- A driver with a full UK licence (auto-friendly)

You'll play an important role in maintaining strong and respectful communication with his family, who are closely involved and deeply value consistency and collaboration.
