We are recruiting an Expert with Lived Experience (Learning Disability or Autism) Co-Trainer based in Birmingham. This role supports the delivery of the Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training on Learning Disability to health and social care professionals.

This is a rewarding opportunity to use your lived experience to help improve understanding, promote inclusive practice, and influence real change in the quality of care provided to people with learning disabilities or autism.

Key Responsibilities

Co-deliver the Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training alongside an experienced trainer
Share personal lived experience to support learning, understanding, and empathy
Engage confidently with training participants and respond to questions
Support accessible, inclusive, and respectful training delivery
Represent the voice of people with learning disabilities professionally and positively

About You

Lived experience of a learning disability or autism
Comfortable speaking to small or medium-sized groups
Good communication and listening skills
Able to share experiences clearly and appropriately
Reliable, punctual, and well-prepared for each session
Committed to confidentiality and data protection
