Deputy Manager

Location: Barnsley, South Yorkshire
Salary: £29,920.80 per annum
Contract: Full Time, Permanent, 42 hours per week (5 days a week on a rota basis)

The Opportunity
We are recruiting an experienced Deputy Manager to support the launch of Clarence Court, our brand-new supported living service, in Barnsley, South Yorkshire.
Clarence Court is a purpose-built development offering high-spec, self-contained homes for adults with complex needs, combining independence, accessibility, and specialist support in a calm, private setting.
This is a fantastic opportunity to be involved from day 1. You will work closely with the Registered Manager to help recruit and develop a new team, embed a strong person-centred culture, and support people as they move into a place they can truly call home.

Role Overview
As Deputy Manager, you will day to day running of the service, helping ensure high-quality, compliant, and person-centred support. You will lead by example, supporting staff development, and step in for the Registered Manager when required.

Key responsibilities
• Support the set-up and day to day operation of the service
• Assist with recruiting and developing the team in line with our values
• Ensure compliance with CQC regulations, legislation and internal policies
• Work closely with our support teams and the local authority to introduce new people we support into the service
• Build and maintain positive relationships with families and stakeholders
• Lead shifts and support colleagues to deliver high quality care

About you
• Experience as a Deputy Manager, Senior Support Worker/ Team Leader or a leadership role in adult social care
• Level 3 diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (Level 5 or willingness to work towards desirable)
• Good understanding of CQC requirements
• Confident, supportive leader with strong communication kills
• Passion for person- centred support and team development
