Student Wellbeing Support
Part Time, Term Time OnlyLocation: East LondonSalary: £22,000-£26,000 (FTE), pro rata for term time hoursStart Date: February 2026
Are you passionate about supporting young people's wellbeing and helping them stay engaged in education?

We are working with an inclusive and forward-thinking education provider in East London seeking an experienced wellbeing professional to join their student support team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in mental health, safeguarding or pastoral support to make a meaningful difference in a diverse student community.
The Role
You will support students experiencing social, emotional or mental health challenges. Responsibilities will include:
-Acting as a first point of contact for students needing wellbeing/mental health support-Providing regular 1:1 sessions and developing personalised strategies-Supporting SEND and SEMH learners, including those with plans in place-Creating and contributing to safety plans for vulnerable students-Maintaining accurate, confidential case notes-Working closely with safeguarding, welfare and learning support teams-Supporting wellbeing, enrichment and resilience programmes-Contributing to wider wellbeing resources, processes and strategy
This is a varied role, balancing direct student support with safeguarding responsibilities.

About You
We'd love to hear from candidates with:
-Experience supporting the mental health or wellbeing of young people
-Safeguarding training and familiarity with referral pathways
-Background in education, youth services, or similar settings
-Strong communication skills and confidence working 1:1 with students
-Experience supporting young people with complex needs including Autism/ADHD
-A calm, resilient and solution-focused approach
Candidates from safeguarding, pastoral, counselling, youth work, social care or SEMH backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
