Make a Real Difference, Close to Home

Are you caring, patient, and looking for a role where every day truly matters?

At Priority Childcare, part of Orbis Education & Care, we provide person-centred support that helps people live fulfilling, meaningful lives — and we’re looking for Support Workers to join our welcoming team at Graig Y Bedw in Pontardulais, Swansea.

Graig Y Bedw is a warm, supportive home set in a peaceful community, supporting adults with a range of needs including learning disabilities, mental health needs, and autism. Our focus is on creating a safe, nurturing environment where individuals can build confidence, develop life skills, and move towards greater independence.

If you’re looking for a rewarding role where you can build genuine relationships and see the positive impact of your work every day, this could be the role for you.

Your Role as a Support Worker
No two days are the same, but your role will include:

- Supporting adults with their emotional, physical, and social wellbeing
- Building trusting, positive relationships so individuals feel safe and valued
- Encouraging independence and supporting the development of daily living skills
- Supporting activities at home and out in the community
- Working closely with colleagues to deliver personalised support plans
- Keeping accurate records of progress, activities, and any incidents
- Helping with everyday household tasks, including cooking and cleaning

What We’re Looking For
You don’t need previous care experience — just the right values and attitude. We’re looking for people who are:

- Caring, patient, and resilient
- Confident communicators with a positive, can-do approach
- Flexible to work a rota including days, evenings, weekends, and waking nights
- Hold a full UK driving licence (essential due to needs of our individuals)
- Willing to learn — full training is provided

Please note: This role involves regulated activity with adults and requires an Enhanced DBS with barred list check.

What You’ll Get in Return
When you join Priority, you become part of a supportive organisation that genuinely invests in its people:

- Employee Assistance Programme, Wellbeing Champions & Salary Finance support
- Blue Light Card – discounts at over 15,000 retailers
- Refer a Friend scheme – earn up to £1,000
- Funded QCF qualifications and clear career progression - 97% of our managers are promoted internally
- Health Shield Plan (after probation)
- Enhanced maternity & paternity pay (after 12 months’ service)
- Paid time off for cancer screening (JGHR Pledge signatory)

Ready to Apply?
If you’re passionate about supporting others and want a career that’s rewarding, meaningful, and offers long-term development, we’d love to hear from you.

Apply today and start your Support Worker journey at Graig Y Bedw, where every small step forward makes a big difference.
