‘Extraordinary Days, Every Day’

At CareTech, we are committed to delivering Extraordinary Days, Every Day through high-quality, person-centred care. Our focus is on empowering independence, building confidence and life skills, and supporting people to live fulfilling lives in environments that best suit their needs.

We are recruiting for Support Workers to join our services in Cheltenham supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health needs. Whether you’re new to care or experienced, this is an opportunity to build a rewarding, long-term career - any truly make a difference!

About the Service – Bouncer Lane

Bouncers Lane is a small, friendly supported living service with a strong focus on independence, routine, and meaningful activities. Due to open in the next month, we are looking for kind, energetic and down-to-earth Support Workers to join us from the very start.

This service will support three adults with autism and epilepsy, who can at times display challenging behaviour. They are active, sociable people who love getting out and about and being part of their local community.

Service User Interests

The people we support enjoy a wide range of activities, and Support Workers play a vital role in enabling these experiences, including:

  • Swimming
  • Skittles and leisure activities
  • Going out shopping
  • Spending time in the community

The best part. Everything is within walking distance, so this is a really hands-on, active role — not one where you’re stuck indoors all day.

Support is provided 24 hours a day, including day shifts and waking night shifts.

The Role

You will:

  • As a Support Worker, you’ll be: Building positive, trusting relationships
  • Supporting people with daily living and personal goals
  • Encouraging independence and choice
  • Supporting individuals to access activities they enjoy
  • Working in line with Positive Behaviour Support (PBS)
  • Supporting with health needs and medication (full training provided)

This is a role where you really get to know the people you support and see the difference you make every day.

  • Deliver person-centred support in line with individual support plans
  • Assist with daily living skills and personal care where required
  • Promote independence, dignity, and wellbeing
  • Support activities, appointments, and community access
  • Maintain accurate records and work effectively as part of a team
  • Work on a rota
