Our son lives independantly in comunity with family living nearby for support.

He needs a new PA so that each month he can rely on seeing that person to do things with. This would be for 12 hours per month. Which can be used flexibly according to what was planned e and daytime or evening. Could be 6 hour meet up 2 x month A day out using all or part of the hours.

The PA needs to be a driver and have a vehicle. Public transport in and around Coleshill is not good. He occasionally uses public transoprt or taxis.He would like to be more familiar and confident with using public transport so a PA willing and support He and use public transport when appropriate would be ideal. He wants someone he can be comfortable with and respect. The person needs to be confident, enthusiastic, outgoing, interesting, and to have ‘a bit about them’ To use their initiative, and if he needs guidance to be self assured and confident. The person should be is interested in trying new things, exploring options and introducing him to new ideas and experiences. He likes music and going to occasional gigs, he likes comedy and going to the theatre and cinema. He follows football and would be up for going to occasional matches or other sporting events. He receives PIP so for many of these situations he pays for his ticket and the companions reservation is free. Part of the role will be to talk and plan with him what to do and to make the bookings. There would need to be some contact with his family re diary, website booking accounts, payments etc.

The person must be reliable, trustworthy and honest. He isn’t very good at understanding money and is unable to do online banking/purchases without support.
