Key qualifications
Diplomas: NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Adult Care, or Level 5 in Leadership and Management for Adult Care are highly desirable.
Education: a degree in nursing, social work, or healthcare administration e.g Coursera.
Mandatory Training: PCI-accredited care coordination, health coaching, and shared decision-making, notes CPTrainingHub.
General Education: GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade C or above) are usually required
Required Experience & Skills
Experience: Previous experience as a Care/Support Worker, senior carer, or in administrative roles, particularly in care scheduling or coordination
Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills for liaising with patients, families, and professionals, notes Indeed.
Organisation: Strong ability to manage multiple care plans and scheduling tasks, says Indeed.
Technical Proficiency: Confidence in using MS Office and healthcare database systems,
Desirable Criteria
Driving License: A full driving license and access to a vehicle .
Specific Knowledge: Understanding of safeguarding, confidentiality, and data protection
Care Certificate: Completion of the 15 standards of the Care Certificate is required
Specialist Training: Additional training in dementia care, end-of-life care, or medication administration is highly valued.
Skills: Leadership, team mentoring, and care plan management skills.
DBS Check: An enhanced DBS check is essential for working with vulnerable people
