Location: The Grange and Elm Court , Grange Lane, Cundy Cross, Barnsley S71 5QQ

Salary: £33,197 per year

Contract: Full-time 40 hours – 5 days per week between Monday to Sunday 0900-17.30. Working Alternate Weekends.

Role Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Mental Health and Recovery Support Lead to join our team. In this role, you will supervise our team to help individuals living semi-independently, helping them manage daily tasks, develop life skills, and access community resources. Your work will empower clients to achieve personal goals and maintain their independence.

Key Responsibilities:

· Be the independence lead for the home, promoting dignity, independence and choice wherever possible.

· Supervise the practical and emotional support to individuals with mental health needs and ensure people are able to access the correct support.

· Promote and encourage person centered care through developing goal based care plans focused on independent living, including budgeting, meal planning, and household tasks.

· Support the staff in doing tasks ‘with’ not ‘for’ persons in our care

· Support social inclusion and participation in community activities through networking with local health services and community groups.

· Develop and implement personalised support plans.

· Encourage the growth and development of all people within our service to be the best they can be, through accessing education and learning opportunities.

· Monitor wellbeing and report any concerns in line with safeguarding policies.

· Liaise with healthcare professionals and families as needed.

Requirements:

· Experience working with people with mental health or related support needs

· Minimum of Level 3 in Mental Health or Health and Social Care.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

· Empathy, patience, and a person-centered approach.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
