About the role:
• Provide exceptional quality care to private clients in their own homes.
• Promote and respect client’s rights, choice, independence, privacy and dignity.
Key Responsibilities:
• Personal Care
o Assist clients with bathing, grooming, dressing, and other personal hygiene tasks (eg catheter)
• Manual Handling
o This includes managing clients with varying ranges of mobility including hoisting.
• Companionship
o Engage clients in friendly conversation and companionship.
o Accompany clients on walks, outings, and social activities.
o Provide transportation to medical appointments, grocery shopping, and other errands as required
• Meal Preparation
o Plan and prepare nutritious meals based on clients' dietary needs and preferences.
o Assist with feeding when necessary.
• Medication
o Assist clients to take their medications as prescribed / as per Care Plan
• Household Assistance
o Perform light housekeeping tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, and laundry.
o Ensure a clean and safe environment for clients.
• Monitoring Health
o Observe and report any changes in clients' physical or mental health to the supervisor.
• Communication
o Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals.
• Follow care plans and adapt to clients' changing needs.
• Keep clear and accurate records, reporting any changes in a timely manner.
