Duties:
- Provide assistance and support to individuals with daily living activities
- Assist with personal care tasks, such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Help with feeding & drinking
- Administer medication under the supervision of a nurse or healthcare professional - Assist with light housekeeping tasks, including laundry and tidying up living areas
- Accompany individuals to medical appointments or social outings
- Monitor and report any changes in clients' physical or mental health to the appropriate healthcare professionals
- Provide emotional support and companionship to clients
Experience:
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of basic caregiving techniques and principles
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals
- Compassionate and patient demeanour
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
