We are looking for a caring, compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team and help us provide the highest standards of care and support to our residents.


As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting residents with their day-to-day needs while promoting their comfort, dignity, independence and wellbeing.



About the role


Your responsibilities will include:



  • Providing person-centred care and support with daily living, including washing, dressing, toileting and mobility.

  • Supporting Residents with their physical, emotional and social wellbeing.

  • Assisting Residents with limited mobility or physical/learning difficulties, using appropriate equipment and aids.

  • Supporting Residents who may be living with confusion or behavioural difficulties.

  • Assisting with meals and drinks, taking account of dietary requirements and swallowing difficulties.

  • Escorting Residents to appointments, hospital visits and social outings where required.

  • Completing daily records and contributing to care planning as required.

  • Maintaining clean, comfortable and safe bedrooms and communal areas.

  • Supporting Residents and their families with dignity, sensitivity and compassion, including those receiving end-of-life care.



About you

You will ideally have:



  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • A compassionate, respectful and patient approach.

  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team.

  • A commitment to maintaining Residents’ privacy, dignity and independence.

  • A willingness to learn and undertake relevant training and qualifications.

  • Previous experience in a care environment is desirable but not essential.

  • An S/NVQ in Health & Social Care, or a willingness to work towards one, is desirable.
